About
Wonderbad is a band by Milo Stanfield. Motivated by the once thriving 90's rock scene in his hometown of Tri-Cities WA, he first attempted to write his own songs in 2017. Age 14. Local legends like The Ladybird Unition and Loudermilk helped him come to the realization that anyone can play music and songs don't just appear out of thin air (he changed his mind about that later), while bands like Nirvana and early Weezer resonated with him on a compositional level. In 2019, he got a sweet band, quit his burrito business endeavors, and went to the studio to finish the songs that had been waiting since the beginning. The album Wonderbad is the product of those efforts. After a few years of playing shows together, new material appeared, having a more developed sound and unique voice to offer. I Was So Certain, an unfinished album-turned EP, featured a stripped down, more mature Wonderbad with plenty of tambourine. The band would disband and pursue individual ambitions before its release. Wonderbad has since reestablished itself as a Nashville act but the sound of its ancestry lives on through it still.
