Why Try?
Boston, Massachusetts, United States
About
The catalyst that allowed Why Try?'s four original members to come together was a humble Craigslist ad- one musical meet-up and a burrito dinner later, singer Richa "Razz" Saran, bassist Will Anderson, and guitarist Andrew Barry converged as the first iteration of the band, and soon after, Drummer Geoff Fischer joined the group..... and Why Try? was born. Two years later, they were completed by the psychedelically inclined Sean "OB" O'Brien, filling out their sound. After a few years, Geoff's time as Why Try's iconic drummer came to an end, and Warren Scherb stepped in to help shift Why Try? into a new era. Over the course of their time together, Why Try? has developed a vibe that many describe as 90's-inspired, and they strive for a varied sound inspired by the Cranberries, the Pixies, Wolf Alice, Stone Temple Pilots, the Offspring, Foo Fighters, and Florence and the Machine. Why Try? primarily hails from and plays in the greater Boston MA area, though they hope to widen their tour area soon! A new album is in the works- stay tuned!
