About
When We're Dead (est.2025) are the 2020's answer to the 90's. Harkening back to the glory days of Nirvana , Oasis & Alice In Chains with a modern twist akin to Bring Me The Horizon, My Chemical Romance & The 1975, When We're Dead takes the britpop, grunge and nu metal blueprints and covers them in 60s psychadelia, 70s glam and Y2K emo glitter. The brain child of singer Oli Long and guitarist Liam Howard, WWD is a portal for one of the UK's most promising upcoming songwriter collaborations. Long's unique vocal style and eccentric stage presence is met with Howard's maniacal riffs, all pinned down by bassist Nev Anning and drummer Tom Gelsthorpe's meticulous and powerful playing styles. Following a waterfall release of 11 singles (Some recorded in Chesterfield with Sleep Token producer Jim Pinder, some recorded by the band themselves in Liam's moms garage) under the bands previous name, the debut When We're Dead album 'Lona Misa' was released on the 21st March '25. Featuring tracks such as God Mode, Magnesium, Higher Than The Sun and UCOPIA, the album has gained nearly 300,000 streams already. Swiftly after the album release, WWD are set to release a brand new single 'Demon Thoughts' - a brit-grunge ballad about sticking two fingers up to depression - on the 11th April. On the 10th May, When We're Dead will play their first hometown headline show on the main stage of the Asylum Venue, Birmingham. Oli, Liam, Nev & Tom. WWDx
