In 2016 TV party frontman Joshua Spacek left his native Portland, OR (USA) to relocate permanently to France. Bringing along with a notebook of lyrics and his guitar, he left his life behind, destined for new adventures. Once settled, Spacek puts Jean-Bastien Calatayud (bass guitar) in 2017 and over conversations about 60's rock'n'roll, they formed a friendship that would become the basis for TV Party. Over the months that followed, Spacek wrote about 20 new songs for the group to work on, recording demos in his home studio. In 2018 TV Party hit the ground running, start releasing a small collection Spacek's home recordings online. The primary single, "Stuff" garnered attention from several music industry insiders in France, especially landing the band at the Ricard Society Live's Top 100 new artists list. TV Party transforms their influences into esoteric pop-magic, with hints of 60's pop, modern psych and a healthy dose of what the band calls, "disco stoner". Fuzzy guitars, vintage bass grooves, drippy synths and bombastic drums provide the bedrock to Spacek 's darkly exploratory, yet somehow sunny pop.
