About
This is Slug is a five piece math-pop outfit from London. Formed from the ashes of their previous project <a href="spotify:artist:0fKGkJmpYgXksQoRebeQQG" data-name="SWAN DIVES">SWAN DIVES</a>, country boys Billy Holt and Luke Brown (guitars) and industry's finest Duncan Temple (drums) joined forces with Greg Wolfman (bass). Completing the lineup with the ethereal vocals of Martha Stone (<a href="spotify:artist:5alxiGTk6buNF4Qm5h8WTh" data-name="Maphe">Maphe</a> – recently featured on Queer Eye and Glastonbury Festival Emerging Talent nominee), This is Slug are exploring the space between intricate math rock hooks and powerful indie pop. With 2020 forcing most of us to isolate, This is Slug released their debut single 'Get Home Safe Ben', a hip-shaking indie rock anthem that unexpectedly took on a new significance given current circumstances – a song about finding your way home when the world throws you a curveball. This was followed by 'A Nice Single' - about the collapse of happiness and how to break through on your own.
