Théo Fetter is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Porto Alegre, Brazil, based in Florida. A young gun in the Gaúcho Rock scene, Théo’s music bridges the gap between the noisy, abrasive American alternative and the Beatle-like hookyness of southern Brazilian Pop Rock. At the age of 16, Théo began recording his first batch of songs at home. These tracks went on to form Not There Quite Yet, his debut album. Brazilian producer Juliano Cortuah was enlisted to finish the production, giving the record a characteristically poppy, “Radio-Ready” sound. Not There Quite Yet was released on August 18th, 2022 by Porto Alegre independent label Loop Discos. The singles “Stay” and “Nice Guy” became popular tracks in southern Brazil, but ultimately failed to attract audiences in America. Théo’s partnership with Loop Discos continued through 2023, when Théo released his similarly home recorded single “Nothing”. Théo’s first time in a real studio came later the same year. Wanting a “soft reset” of sorts, Fetter pursued a heavier, more abrasive sound.
