About
The Wanderer Edit is an indie, alternative pop singer-songwriter and producer who was born in Tucson, AZ but now lives in Seattle, WA. After she graduated from college with a Linguistics degree, she became disabled and developed chronic pain that is yet to be explained with a diagnosis after years of struggling. But with some treatment and physical therapy, she decided to go back to music and start writing songs for the first time. She set up her own little studio at home and started producing music. Online tutorials on YouTube, TikTok, and blogs were used to learn how to produce. Going back to the classics as an inspiration that she played on the piano growing up, she blends it with synth sounds to capture the emotions behind the lyrics. Noticing that representation of disabled people is mostly based on being viewed as inspirational or overcoming their struggles, she wanted to write about what it is actually like to be disabled and take back the narrative that has been mainly written from nondisabled people’s point of views. She hopes that this will help change the perspectives and lessen the amount of misinformation about disabilities. Her debut album, Into A Fairytale, releases on July 23, 2021.
