The Varden

About

The Varden is a 5-piece rock band from Blue Ridge, Georgia and they are ready to funk your socks clean off. Consisting of Collin Queen (lead guitar), Shane Stepp (rhythm guitar), Devin Barfield (Bass), Stretch Norton (Drums), Joe Bennett (Percussion), and Aaron O’Connor (Keys), they began making a name for themselves covering artists such Grateful Dead, The Beatles, The Allman Brothers and more. The band released their debut EP, Cherry Log Chiggers, in September of 2021 with the help of Andrew Hall of Gingy Productions who produced the album. In 2022, The Varden added Joe Bennett as a second percussionist. With a sixth member, the boys traveled further from their hometown for shows and started working on their next set of songs. They then headed to Macon, Georgia to record tracks at the acclaimed Capricorn Studios where many of the band’s inspirations had previously recorded. 2023 will be a turning point for The Varden. With new music and shows in the chamber, the boys are ready to offer their fans plenty to keep them rocking out.
