About
The Snapping Turtlenecks are a band hailing from the blue ridge mountains of Roanoke, Virginia. Blending elements of emo, punk, pop, and indie, TST creates a sound that’s totally angst-y yet totally danceable. TST formed in 2017 and is made up of frontman Finn Mroz-Roakes, lead guitarist Toby Tate, bassist Cade Clemons, drummer Jonah Mroz-Roakes, and the ever so classy Josh Smith on Saxophone. In 2019 the band released their debut album, Grass Fed Kids, which they all admit is a little rough but lovable all the same. Their sophomore album, Little Red Balloon, was released in the spring of 2020, with an accompanying music video for the song, “Cat Eyes.” TST has brought their angst, rebellion, and humor all over the Blue Ridge, Richmond, and West Virginia, laying the foundation for the now vibrant young music scene in the greater Roanoke area. The band is always down to play any shindig in need of a little rock and roll! Infant boy john💚
