The Sky Burns Brighter

About

The Sky Burns Brighter Based out of Boise, Idaho, The Sky Burns Brighter has been cutting through the noise since 2017 with a sound that refuses to sit still. Formed after a spark of inspiration from an episode of Pursuit of Tone featuring Blink-182's Tom DeLonge, the band began as a passion project and evolved into a dynamic five-piece known for its genre-bending intensity. With influences ranging from metalcore giants like Wage War and A Day to Remember to the emotive grit of Thrice and AFI, the band blends heavy riffs, soaring melodies, and an undercurrent of unpredictability. Each member brings something different to the table-vocals from Jon, dual guitars and vocals from Coby and Matt, Devin holding down the bass, and Mark driving the chaos on drums. Their sound spans from hard-hitting breakdowns to anthemic hooks, with lyrics that meet listeners at eye-level-honest, raw, and reflective of life's shifting seasons. The band's earlier EP and follow-up singles set the foundation, but 2025 marks a new chapter, with The Sky Burns Brighter working tirelessly to drop a wave of new music, starting with the emotionally charged single Landslides. Unpredictable in sound and anchored by a genuine connection with their audience, the band's mission is simple: make music that means something. Whether it's through heavy catharsis or melodic release, their live shows are built to move you-both physically and emotionally. If you're new to The Sky Burns Brighter, start with Sunset .
