The Sigils are a dynamic indie rock band whose sound is steeped in the lineage of game-changing generational acts like Talking Heads, Pixies, The Smiths, and Radiohead, among others. Founded in 2013 as Super Movies by singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Nick Hall and bassist Sebastian Alexander, the band was known for Hall's methodically crafted angst anthems and Alexander's magnetic stage presence. Despite early success, personal strains and Alexander's decision to pursue a career in the military brought Super Movies' momentum to a halt. In 2020, Hall and longtime musical collaborator, Eva Lanfrank rekindled the project with guitarist Matt DeVoti and drummer RJ Lintag under the name The Sigils and set to work recording material that had been years in the making. Working with up-and-coming producer Joey Papa at Sonoma Beach Studios, the band put the finishing touches on their debut LP, "And Then There Were None." Released on April 29th, 2023, "And Then There Were None" showcases The Sigils' ability to blend catchy hooks with thoughtful lyrics and an infectious energy. The album has been praised for its unique sound and compelling songwriting, and has helped to establish The Sigils as a refreshing new act in the indie rock scene.
