The Rosettas
York, England, United Kingdom
About
The Rosettas, with their name stemming from the back of a Co-op crisp packet, formed in 2019 in York with the school hall as their stage and the drummer’s attic as their studio. Now a thunderous 4 piece Alternative Rock band with sounds ranging from meaty riffs to heartfelt ballads, the band gained a dedicated fanbase within the York music scene, quickly selling out their 2nd ever show in early 2022. Referred to as ‘Just a delight to watch’ and that, ‘For such a younger band their stage presences were unparralled’ by photographer and music journalist Jack Liddle, it’s clear that crowds are drawn to the exhilarating and energetic nature of their shows, with fan favourites soon being established : one of these being ‘Heaven's Not Enough - Demo’ released on April 2022. After the success of the release, The Rosettas again set their sights on the studio in September 2022, recording Homes - one of their more laid-back tunes, yet still capturing that Rosettas sound with a characteristally catchy chorus. The Rosettas since this release have undeniably evolved into a heavier band throughout 2023, with newer songs sounding immense and accessing a powerful metal edge not before explored. The band have reflected this with their newest release Save Your Time
