About
Bristol-based alt-indie rock band, The Pavilion , has been revitalised with a fresh line-up, marking a defining and new chapter within their journey. Led by frontman, Rhys Smedley, with the recruitment of a reimagined ensemble consisting of guitarist Iwan Morris, bassist Dan O’Conner, and drummer Josh Vallis, The Pavilion is ready to reach new heights. New single Against The Tide , as well as its accompanying wider project, is the perfect first step towards that. Known for their high-octane live shows and festival-ready anthems, the band draws inspiration from The Backseat Lovers , Catfish and the Bottlemen , and Inhaler, carving a niche in the UK’s indie-rock scene. Since their inception in 2023, the band has played extensively around Bristol, with shows at iconic venues like Rough Trade, The Louisiana, The Exchange, Crofters Rights, HMV and The Golden Lion to name a few, as well as their recent gig to debut the new line-up at The Ill Repute, proving even major changes to the band won’t hold them back. Previously, the band self-recorded and mixed all their music, however, stepped out of their comfort zone and travelled to Manchester to record their new project. The new music marks a pivotal shift in their creative journey, blending raw energy and melodic ambition. Rhys Smedley (vocals & guitar), Iwan Morris (guitar), Daniel O’Connor (bass), & Joshua Vallis (drums). https://linktr.ee/thepavilionband?utm_source=linktree_profile_share
