The Newks

About

Gather round, gather round, there’s a new band in town! In the lush wetlands in the southern reaches of The Netherlands, just beneath the big river, a band emerged out of the swamp with a big bang. Four young musicians snapped together like pieces from a puzzle, all of them carrying a similar passion for Classic Rock music. This shared passion caused them to quickly become close friends and after a year of writing and rehearsing The Newks were officially born. The Newks carry a torch for the music of the days gone by, a flame they aim to pass on to a younger generation. Within their own material they like to draw inspiration from the greats of the 60s and 70s which allows you to taste hints of the legends of the past. Driven by a profound desire, the band members seek to introduce their cherished music style to their peers while keeping it alive for those who have been immersed in these melodies for years. Their approach involves crafting music that seamlessly blends the nostalgic with the modern, preserving the period that sparked their musical passion. The Newks invite you to experience captivating timeless sounds within their own written records. The Newks hope to meet you somewhere along the road!
