The Love-In is a Nashville-based indie band consisting of Laurel Sorenson, Theo King, and Michael Rasile. The band formed in 2016, and since then have honed their genre-bending arrangements to present Sorenson’s incisive lyrical observations and powerful vocals with a chest-out vulnerability towards relationships, racial identity, sex, and culture. Their upcoming album Revel (produced by Tone Def, set to be released October 2023) is a concept record that uses The Love-In’s signature combination of memorable melodies, irresistible grooves, and lush soundscapes to create a glamorous world of fantasy. Revel yanks the listener from dreams to reality and back again, until the two are indistinguishable. While their recorded music is painstakingly crafted, The Love-In’s live performances contain all of the spontaneity one could want in a rock show. It’s rollicking and raw, tender and touching, and certainly not one to miss.
