About
The Kleins, consisting of identical brothers Rory and Sage Klein, are an alternative rock duo from Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Both graduated from The Ohio State University, and Rory is currently attending the University of Michigan Law School. The duo formed in 2020 when the brothers compiled their previously written songs into one group effort. They continued writing new songs together, and structured their ideas into a joint project. This project became their debut EP, Streetlights, which was released in September of 2020, and was written, performed, and produced entirely by the two brothers. In July of 2022, The Kleins' album, All the Things I Want to Find, was released. It was a shift towards indie pop, and contained experimentations with dream pop, ambient music, and art rock. The song Portraits from this album became their biggest song yet. Plastics was released on August 15, 2023, a few months after both brothers' graduation from Ohio State. The album brings even more new sounds into The Kleins' catalogue. The band's newest album, Eyes Still See, is their most experimental to date. With a greater emphasis on sophisticated lyricism and boundary-pushing production, Eyes Still See is structured as an abstract concept album that takes inspiration from several artistic mediums. Every song by The Kleins is entirely written, performed, and produced by Rory and Sage Klein.
