Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, The High Heaven draws inspiration from the desert plains and whiskey-soaked saloons of the Old West. Utilising their eclectic alt-country sound, which features driving guitars and hook-laden choruses, the band spins picaresque yarns of lost love and bullet-filled revenge, while somehow still finding time to rest easy on the porch in their favourite rocking chairs. Following their debut ‘Fairytales of the Heartland,’ The High Heaven released a searing 4-track EP, titled ‘Outlaws Vol. 1: A Few Tales More,’ which serves as a companion piece to the band’s 2020 debut release. Chronicling the violent lives of Six-Gun Sam and Black-Eyed Belle, the record’s two main protagonists, ‘Outlaws’ also features a set of instrumentals that revisit all the power and intensity of their first single ‘Dead Dollar Bill.’ The High Heaven are currently working on their second album, set to release early 2023. The band aim to indulge further into their love for country and folk ballads, a slight detour from gun slingers but rather the warming drink they'd have when all is said and done...
