The Deans

The Deans are a rock band from Corvallis, Oregon. Vocals: Sean Bullock Guitars: Zach Crawford and Alex Wright Bass: Garrett Remde Drums: Myles Remde Sean Bullock wanted to express himself honestly, so he started writing music. Soon after, guitarist Zach Crawford peeked over his fence, hollering "I'M COMING OVER THERE," when he heard Sean singing in the backyard. Sean and Zach hit it off, exchanging musical ideas before learning each other's names. Asking if Zach knew any drummers, he replied “my best friend is a drummer," referring to Myles Remde, whose slightly taller brother, Garrett, happened to be a multi-instrumentalist. The group then began playing together, searching for their sound. It wasn't until 'Collide,' a song Sean had written after he had tried to crash a party and been kicked out, when the band had finally set it's course. Through a mutual friend, the band met Angelo Camargo: founder of an independent label called Fission Records. Angelo then began to produce their debut EP 'Casual Stares' in early 2021. Prior to an open jam session at the Fission studio, guitarist Alex Wright listened in on the mixing of the band's first demos. Alex expressed enthusiasm for the bands sound, and Sean asked him to audition. After Alex revealed he learned their EP note for note by ear in one night, the band invited him as the final missing piece. "Colorful, yet grey" is how the group describes the new material they have in progress.
