The Captain’s Beard are folk rock pirates from Brighton, (the drinking town with a fishing problem.) They play maritime and shanty music from the British Isles as well as their own material that combines the raucous vibes of the Pogues with all the unhinged humour of Flight of the Concords. Their debut album “Same Ship Different Day,” made a splash with their version of "John Kanakanaka" receiving international acclaim. Their second album "Completely Tankard" released in April 2020 saw the band reach new heights with multiple songs receiving air play in the U.S, Canada, France and Japan. They like to tour around Europe, mostly ping ponging between Germany and Scotland and everywhere in between, terrorizing everyone with their close harmony singing. BEARD!
