The Arsonists
Lawrence, Kansas, United States
About
The Arsonists is five young musicians from Lawrence, Kansas - Giovanni Ventello (guitar/vocals), Aden Smith (drums), Jax of the Kosmos (keys), Sadie Capps (bass), and her sister Vega West (vocals/rhythm guitar ). The group plays powerful, energetic, rock music with lyrics about everything from young love to gun violence in the United States. The group formed in high school (2017) after Giovanni’s previous band disbanded. In search of a new group for an upcoming show, Giovanni last minute recruited Aden and Jaxon. They then played “the worst show of their lives”. Fueled by the disappointment of their first show together, the band worked tirelessly to redeem themselves for the next upcoming show. The band quickly formed strong chemistry and began playing increasingly powerful shows. The addition of a bassist became apparent very quickly as the group lacked the important texture of bass. This led to the recruitment of Sadie on bass and Vega as a harmonist making the band what it is today.
