Terry Monstrosity
Seattle, Washington, United States
About
Beginning as an ancillary piece in an amalgamation of raw talent (Gifted Program), Terry Monstrosity has carved out a unique individual path. Hailing from Seattle, Washington; the music on display here is a combination of mind-bending rhyme patterns with new-age cadences on top of instrumentation both modern and retro. Somewhat of a "Free thinking", "rapper's-rapper", Terry tows the line on lyrical depth of complex ideals and dead-pan comedic elements with refreshing flows that make the journey of listening a fun, yet interesting one. Comprising of one quarter of a long-lasting cohesive collaborative effort with Lex Lingo, Myndthavillain and others, the skill has taken time and formed into a unique, almost definitive "sound" for the area. Along with Bill Beats production, Terry began a new era in solo work beginning with "Subdued Exclamation" and continuing until this very day. Aided by a feature with Seattle's own beloved Bearaxe on "Granpappy's Gold" he continues to defy the barriers of what it means to be a "rapper", or "musician" even. All in all, this is something not to be missed, so don't.
