Teddy Picker

About
Started by frontman and guitarist Simon Mitchell, Teddy Picker began as an outlet for the music he had been writing since High School. After playing with different bands for multiple years and having none of them work out for one reason or another, Mitchell decided to record, produce, and release an album on his own. The result of this effort is the band's debut album "Better Luck Next Year" which Mitchell wrote, recorded, and produced almost entirely on his own with his friend Kaden Barrera contributing some of the lead guitars on "Next Year" and "Crazy". After the album's release, Mitchell assembled a band comprising Kaden Barrera, Travis Hall, and Nik Mitchell. Mitchell and Hall met in High School and played in a short-lived band together. Simon's older brother, Nik joined Teddy Picker as the drummer. After releasing their first single post-proper formation ("Standing Still), Barrera left the band amicably. After Barrera's departure, Mitchell and Hall posted an ad to the bulletin board of their local guitar shop searching for a bassist in the age range of 19-25. Soon Deacon Turnor, an employee at the store responded to the ad, was invited to practice, and was asked to join the band. The band later found out that Turnor was only 17. Now, with Turnor playing bass the band has been writing new material and performing shows. Their primary focus is performing but they plan to record more this coming winter.
