Ted Watson

About

Ted Watson is a Sunshine Coast singer-songwriter and guitarist delivering raw, soulful music with a blues-rock bite. Blending indie folk, rock, blues, and soul, his sound channels the grit of Cold Chisel, the finesse of Dire Straits, and the heart of Otis Redding—music that lingers like smoke after last call. Cutting his teeth as the guitarist for Any Given Sunday and later fronting the blues-rock outfit Fitters and Tuners, Ted found his own voice as a solo artist. His 2023 debut “Home” set the stage, followed by fan-favorite “Bring on the Sun”, racking up over 14,000 streams in 2024 and putting him on the map as a rising force in the indie scene. Now, Ted is gearing up for his biggest year yet. With a heap of new tracks dropping throughout 2025, starting with the groove-heavy “Lost Love” in February, his upcoming releases promise more of the deep-cut storytelling and fiery musicianship that fans love. His debut EP is on the horizon, packed with grit, soul, and the kind of hooks that stick with you. Whether it’s an intimate acoustic set or a full-throttle band performance, Ted’s music hits deep and stays there—a sound built for long nights, open highways, and anyone who’s ever felt the weight of a good song.
