About
With a name stolen from a tanning salon, Tan Universe is the recording project and live band of Los Angeles based singer/songwriter Dan O’Grady, featuring a revolving door of collaborators. As of 6/2/23, the band has independently released their first studio album, Tastefully Quaint Trinkets & Antiques. With a debut album of songs ranging from dreampop to punk, a new indie folk single, and an upcoming shoegaze EP, Tan Universe has always been a band that strives to always experiment with new styles and influences, never staying tied down to one genre. Some of the projects major influences include The Strokes, Surf Curse, The Smiths, Wavves, and my bloody valentine.
