Sweetmelk is an explosion of radical love, trans joy, pain and power before your eyes and ears. The egg cracks.. Kenna Mae, primary lyricist and guitarist, creates original songs from lived experiences that land safely in the hands of their bestie and partner, the one, the only, the beautiful and ever-cunty Ori Sergel. Together this duo aims to build a heartfelt community through the cathartic joyful release that is live music. As multifaceted artists with extensive experience in different styles, their musical genres and influences are perhaps as fluid as Kenna's gender. Frequently reaching from punk rock, folk, jazz and hip-hop, to indie-pop, sludge and even hardcore. Nowhere is this more apparent than their live shows which consistently ebb and flow in different emotional intensities. From a soft longing whisper, to a full fledged unapologetic onslaught, their realization of the queer experience is both palpable and powerful.
