Sweet Bike
Chicago, Illinois, United States
About
Sweet Bike is a four-piece indie outfit featuring guitarist and vocalist Chris Armstrong, guitarist and vocalist Jake Hallstrom, bassist Garrett Shafer, and drummer Danny Behrens. Influenced by emo and punk heroes such as Fugazi, Algernon Cadwallader, and Bomb the Music Industry, Sweet Bike combines driving drums with heavy riffs that pull from a variety of playing styles to create a dynamic sound that sits in its own space in the booming Chicago DIY scene. After three years of shredding, 2023 will see the release of their debut album “Ode to Coty,” which expands the singular rock energy of their live performances with shades of post-punk, noise rock, math rock, and metal. Damn Champion, Supercorp, and Darkle are all bands associated with Sweet Bike ✍️: Tommy Kessler 📸: Stephanie Falaschetti & Vicki Holda & Anthony Corbo 🎆: Hydrosonic Light Show
