The word surqriseb comes from the word surprised with two reversed letters, p and d. The artist wants to remind people that the world is still full of surprises and the best is yet to come. Surqriseb is a French school teacher living in Angers, passionate about arts, painting, literature, poetry and classical music. Her lyrics come from her own experiences in life, and as she said in the song "Moonlit Path", she only writes when she falls in love or falls apart, and feels the need to externalize her emotions and tell her story. In her lyrics, we can feel emotions like sadness, disappointment, exhaustion, but also positivity such as hope, strength, willpower and the joy of meeting new people.
