About
‘Big & Strong’, the debut EP by Sunrise Academy is out now — Sunrise Academy is the sound of friendship that started at a summer camp, where Julian Sol Jordan and Yakob Dye met at 13 years old. Inspired by the timeless summers they spent together, they began creating music to capture the nostalgia and warmth that sparked a lifelong brotherhood. Whether they’re hours apart or in the same studio, the duo unite to create bright, fun, and beautiful songs about growing up, love, and the moments that define us. Sunrise Academy is more than a band- it’s the soundtrack of their shared story and the memories they hope to create for others. In addition to the band, Yakob is pursuing a solo R&B project, while Julian focuses on his filmmaking career. Photos by Allison V. Smith
