Suburban Dropout

About

Commonly referred to as, "Sub D," DIY hard rock act Suburban Dropout has been making waves on the central coast of California since late 2022. Sonically speaking, the group combines the stripped down nature and speed of early Hardcore Punk with the riffs with the riffs and solos that are the backbone of most every heavy rock sub genre. Whether writing about political issues or the trials and tribulations of being in a rock band, the lyrics maintain the fuck you attitude of a scrappy punk band. Their high energy, liquor soaked live shows have a remarkable propensity for attracting police attention. This, along with being ignored by local bars and clubs led the group to eschew traditional venues to perform in warehouses, dirt parking lots and back yards. Despite this (or maybe because of it) the band has rapidly amassed a dedicated following who packed out their recent EP drop show wall to wall at the San Luis Obispo vets hall. The band started as a side project. However the members were in other bands and felt the need to get a little crazier than their current projects would allow. However it quickly became apparent that they had a good thing going with Sub D at which point it became their main project.
