Stilljill

About

Stilljill is a womxn-powered modern rock trio from Los Angeles. They blend indie pop with psych rock using a distinct combination of vast, reverby open tunings, huge, often syncopated drums, and newly added vocal harmonies and swelling synth. Stilljill is the brainchild of Alex Stills (vox + guitar) Jill Parker (drums) and the recent addition of Anina Denove (vox + keys).
Their debut EP: Waterslides (produced by Billy Burke of Gooey Music Productions) is about fluidity. It’s also about the adaptation, anger, love, and acceptance that encapsulates the general human experience. The EP traverses between personally lived stories and the grander narrative of our modern world - like the reality of climate change, navigating life as a womxn, heartbreak, cultural and political injustice, the LGBTQ+ experience, and vulnerability.
