Staycation
Salt Lake City, Utah, United States
About
Inspired by the many kinds of music that brings them together, Staycation is an indie-funk / alt-pop band in Utah, bringing a unique sound to the Salt Lake Valley, combining the likes of yacht-rock, disco and alternative rock to create groovy, rhythmic dance music for listeners to get loose to & enjoy. What started off as a group of friends playing at acoustic open mics and local talent shows, Staycation has become a representation of what it means to be young & free: “We don’t always know what the future holds for us, or may not have the finances to go on vacation. But we can at least still find joy in the simple pleasures of life. And at the end of the day - we can always take a Staycation.”
