Spring Colours

About

Spring Colours is a chiptune, indie, noise-pop five piece from Toronto, Ontario. Their maximalist style offers effect heavy guitars, noisy yet nostalgic synthesizers, emotive lyrics, and alternative song structures mixed with catchy hooks and high-energy performances. Formed in late 2019 by Lukas Lyjak (Guitar/Synthesizers), Susie Ryu (Drums) and David Dellio (Guitar), the band released their debut self-titled EP in March of 2020. With live performances held back due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the band went back to writing new material and added Sean Mckenna (Bass) and Amani Sabry (Synthesizers) to the roster, and released their second EP 'Loom', in July of 2023. Since the release, Spring Colours has been playing shows throughout their hometown of Toronto and its greater area. Spring Colours is influenced by bands such as Wolf Parade, Tokyo Police Club, Fucked Up and Crying. They aim to write music that ponders the collective and personal struggles of existence, wrapped up in instrumental arrangements that are spry, dramatic, and energetic; hailing back to memories of youth.
