About

Spirit Desire is a Canadian indie rock/emo/punk band from Toronto, Ontario. Initially formed in 2014 as a two-piece consisting of guitarist Michelle Ferrer and drummer Kai Lumbang on shared vocal duties, they released their first demo on August 30th, 2015 and played their first show in October of that year. This was followed by a full-length album, entitled "Adrian", released on November 24th, 2017. Vocalist Sam Grace was formally added to the group a little over a week later, joined by bassist K. K. in 2018 and synth player/vocalist Jon Iñaki in early 2020. In preparation for their next album, the band released 2 promo tapes ("Promo 2020" and "Houndstooth Promo") and a collection of live recordings ("Live 2020") between 2020 & 2021. Supported by the “Summer Songs” double single released 2 months prior, the band’s sophomore album, “No One Makes Me Laugh as Hard as You”, was released after a brief last-minute delay on October 30th, 2022. "Pets", a 4-track EP, was released on June 13th, 2025, followed by "Borrowed Time / Poison Sting", a double single, released July 27th, 2025.
