About
Southwick is the solo project of Detroit born journalist and singer-songwriter Paige Southwick Pfleger. Previously, Paige was in the Philadelphia based retro pop band ‘Plume.’ With a nudge from singer-songwriter Shamir, Paige started to write songs by herself for the first time. Shamir and Paige met in 2015 while she was working at NPR. The two reconnected in Philadelphia by chance a year later. Paige would cautiously send Shamir demos, and instead of giving feedback, he would go to the studio and build full productions around Paige's ideas. The duo immediately hit the studio and recorded most of Paige’s vocals for her self titled e.p. in one day before her move to Columbus. Southwick will be out 04/05/2019 on Accidental Popstar Records via limited (500) Vinyl and digital. Photos by Kateri Ang.
