About
Smaller Monsters is based in Sonoma County and San Diego, formed by members of <a href="spotify:artist:7m6GxwS7jR81jcYyb3kc53" data-name="Worthington">Worthington</a> — an indie rock band from Portland. Our first record 'Isosceles Heart' was mostly recorded on 2-inch tape by Larry Crane at Jackpot! <a href="spotify:artist:5gnpB90GzUR1gXpse5Kl4R" data-name="Nancy Wilson">Nancy Wilson</a> (from <a href="spotify:artist:34jw2BbxjoYalTp8cJFCPv" data-name="Heart">Heart</a>) recommended the band name after hearing the <a href="spotify:artist:7m6GxwS7jR81jcYyb3kc53" data-name="Worthington">Worthington</a> song ' <a href="spotify:track:5HhXqvEhGkzIzdVg1njsgq" data-name="Smaller Monsters">Smaller Monsters</a> ' which NME declared "a chilled classic” in a warm review. Since then, we've been playing shows and writing and recording new love songs. The odd pairing of the <a href="spotify:artist:5s6TJEuHTr9GR894wc6VfP" data-name="Emmylou Harris">Emmylou Harris</a> vinyl records and <a href="spotify:artist:0yNLKJebCb8Aueb54LYya3" data-name="New Order">New Order</a> cassette tapes we were raised on comes through on our newest digital recording: Ghost of the Saint Vrain.
