About
SLOW DOWN SONIC, are one of the freshest new acts to emerge from the punk scene in Lutruwita/Tasmania, Australia. Their blend of anthemic punk/rock packs a powerful punch, with their frenetic live shows already turning heads. The sound you can hear on their debut EP “Depths” is eclectic and powerful, filled to the brim with energy and infinite catchy elements. It’s a punk rock record, drenched in early 2000’s punk nostalgia, yet infused with the future of the genre for something that’s ultimately well rounded and replayable. New single "Merry Go Round" continues to progress the trio's punchy sound, with new drummer Daniel Burling providing the perfect backbone from which to transfer live elements to their recorded works. Mastered by Grammy Award Winning engineer William Bowden (King Willy Sound) and mixed by one of Tassie’s most promising up and coming producers Douglas Briton, “Merry Go Round” is for fans of Violent Soho, Slowly Slowly, Dear Seattle, Bodyjar, Millencolin and Jimmy Eat World.
