Sam Steele

About

Sam Steele makes joyful, idiosyncratic guitar pop. Playful, poetic and earnestly original, his songs are jam-packed with joyful melodies and enough hooks to hang your entire wardrobe on. New single Glow in the Dark kicks off a campaign for my new EP by evoking the intensity and intimacy of falling too fast, blending the full band sound of 00s pop/rock with Latin grooves, wistful lyricism and a punch-in-the-air, arena-sized chorus. 2025 is shaping up to be a big year for Sam, as he teams up with Launchpad+ again for his sophomore EP campaign, waterfalling three singles ahead of the full release next year. Recorded at Giant Wafer Studios in Wales and produced by Sam and his Manchester-based pals and collaborators, it promises the hottest guitar pop bops on record. Sam’s one of BBC Radio’s ‘Made in Manchester’ showcase artists and has had his music played across shows on BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio. His high-energy, five-piece live outfit has performed at festivals like Liverpool Sound City, toured at university clubs and campuses, and graced iconic venues across the UK, like Manchester’s Night & Day and Liverpool’s Cavern Club.
