About
Salem Belladonna is an emerging LA-based singer-songwriter whose eclectic sound has been referred to as “creepy pop” and “dark cabaret.” Her unique style draws inspiration from a variety of genres, including classical, pop, R&B, jazz, metal, and country/folk. A multi-instrumentalist, she is a classically-trained cellist who can also play piano, bass, guitar, and percussion. Salem released her first concept album, Circus of Alice (2010), at the age of 14, under the name Madison Chase. Since then, she has published numerous singles, and has written and recorded original pieces and songs for multiple films, including two upcoming horrors. She is currently working on her first complete score for a feature-length art film. Before COVID changed the musical landscape, Salem often performed as a cellist with local musicals, operas, and small ensembles around LA. She also teaches private cello lessons, which are currently offered online.
