About
Rushmore is a rock trio hailing from Elgin, Illinois. Featuring vocalist and bassist Skylar Moore, guitarist Kieran Moore and drummer Halle Moore, the siblings bring a refreshing, electric new twist to rock music. Their debut performance at Side Street Studio Arts in June of 2019 quickly gained them a large local following and enabled them to release their first online single, "Sunshine Song", in March of 2020. "Sunshine Song" pulls no punches when it comes to the skill and potential of Rushmore. With stellar vocals, groovy bass lines, spicy guitar licks, and exceptionally smooth drumming, the debut song is nothing short of a totally rad lucid dream. The song compares the dynamic state of our physical, tangible world with the ever-changing land of our minds in a psychedelic fashion using both Skylar’s lyrics and Kieran’s guitar. The free-flowing jams are all kept together by Halle’s drums, which are masterfully used in their entirety to keep it all in line and add a great depth of flavor. The group so far has played a number of wild shows in and around the Elgin area, with many more to come. ~Caleb Lawler, Music Blogger
