Once upon a crime, in the far off, distant land of Manchester: A smol, anger-y, lil guy was tippy tapping on their keybored. "What", they thought, "the fuck am I supposed to write here?". Rain, which was their name, felt like a Punk but didn't sound like one, wanted to be a Beatle but knew that ship had gone, and wrote lyrics like a rapper but... well, let's all be grateful for a moment that they were self-aware enough to see they couldn't pull it off. They played with the label: 'Pixie Punk', for a while - because it gave off twink vibes but like, in an edgy way - but ultimately decided that genre is a meaningless, dead, boomer-ism. So they stopped trying. "Hi, I'm Rain", they decided upon. "In real life I'm just a sweet, silly, little dude, but for some reason all my songs are about the end of the fucking world, idk, maybe it's repressed rage."
