Quickdraw Kid

About
Quickdraw Kid is a Nashville based indie rock band consisting of Taylor Currie, Baxter Dillard, Conner Schmitz, Cesar Alva-Cano and Dylan Yates. All members of QK graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in Audio Production. Quickdraw Kid came to be in a freshman dorm room and has since expanded with each member bringing their own sound and genre to the group. While rock has a large influence on this band, with careful inspection, you can hear pieces of hardcore and folk shaping their sound with unexpected breakdowns and wailing vocals. Their debut album Quickdraw Kid “displays a more seasoned group of musicians who have now graduated and put their audio production degrees to good use.” (WFPK Louisville) Their sound “hearkens to 90s and turn-of-the-millennium alt-rock, with guitar tones reminiscent of early Weezer & a poignant, Jimmy Eat World-esque melody.” (UMC Nashville)
