Pylar
Seville, Andalusia, Spain
About
PYLAR is a collective formed by members of Orthodox and Blooming Látigo, based in Seville, Spain. With an imagery nourished by occult sciences and Prehistoric Atlantic-Mediterranean cosmogony, PYLAR navigates into the depths of history and mysticism and evokes soundscapes that transports the listener to periods that may not have existed. PYLAR complex ensemble comprehends instruments such as percussion, drums, guitars, keyboards, French horn, violin or mandolin, while vocals intone texts from ancient scriptures and fragments extracted from occult sciences. PYLAR moves between experimental doom metal, psychedelia or kraut music imbued with pagan invocation. Hence, their members cover their faces with masks and dress up in ritualistic costumes, so as to perform an obscure liturgy that transforms their concerts into genuine spaces of collective ritual.
