About

Portal=Space 🪐 + Nautical=Ocean 🌊 = Portical Cameron Francis (Portical), a multi-instrumentalist renowned for his modern take on 80s-inspired pop-rock, began his musical journey at 13 when he picked up the guitar. However, it was at 15, when he taught himself piano, that his musical aspirations truly transformed. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Brian Wilson, Cameron's journey as a producer became the heart of his musical endeavors. Influenced by legendary artists such as Billy Joel, The Beach Boys, and Queen, as well as his admiration for soundtracks and the work of Hans Zimmer and John Williams among many others, Cameron developed an affinity for spatial sounds and soundtracks. This eclectic mix of influences drives his innovative sound, seamlessly blending nostalgia with contemporary flair.
