Pantomime
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
About
Since forming in a Petawawa basement in 2014, Pantomime have wasted little time in bringing their eclectic brand of aggressive, progressive rock & roll to the stage. After releasing a two song demo, and playing several shows around the area, the band escaped the uninspiring monotony of small town Ottawa Valley, and relocated to the Canadian music hub of Toronto. For the past couple years, Pantomime have been making their mark on the local Toronto scene, playing at some of the cities most renowned clubs, including a packed Silver Dollar Room for their EP release party in 2017, Bucketlist Music Reviews said this about the show: "Right off the bat, Pantomime introduced their impressive high-energy sound that blended hard rock, metal, and a touch of punk and prog into the mix. On top of an impressive musical mix of genres, they had the right amount of personality to them too. The audience was one of the best I had seen for a local show with a surprising amount of people headbanging and singing along to songs off an EP that had only been released for a day." The debut EP Desire Paths translates the power trio's explosive live show into a concise, accessible release. Produced by fellow Ottawa Valley music alumni Collin Carnegie, the 6-song release acts as a sonic mission statement for the young band. After being released independently, the EP received high praise from the community, and propelled Pantomime forward into playing their biggest shows yet.
