About
ORBIS is an alternative rock band founded by Clément Chrétien (producer, singer, guitarist) and drummer Erwan Colin (Computers Kill People, Kaylus). The band made its debut in 2015 with the release of its first album, joined by Vincent Accard on guitar and Arnaud Rolland on bass. A major turning point came in 2019. After their last show in 2015—originally scheduled the day after the Bataclan attack—ORBIS went silent for several years. The project was revived when Clément Chrétien reignited the creative spark, leading to the release of the EP OK Darkness. This comeback was followed by the single Hold On, which features a striking cover of Jeff Buckley’s version of Hallelujah from his Grace album. In 2021, ORBIS released One Sided Dice, entirely composed and produced by Clément, with Erwan Colin returning on drums. The track Memory was split into two parts before release due to its extended length. In 2022, the band explored new sonic territory with The Toys of God, blending synthwave textures with their rock roots. Between projects, ORBIS has collaborated multiple times with Soul Machine on original tracks like The Bends of Time, as well as unique covers of artists such as Muse, Radiohead, and Adele. In 2024, ORBIS returns with Slick Heart Machinery—a 4-track release that blends live and virtual instrumentation, always anchored by Clément’s raw and unfiltered voice.
