About
Oppstøt is a one-man punk rock project by Ståle Lysne, formed as a sideproject for his other one-man project Lysne, which is his main focus and prioraty. The idea came around in 2015, but no music were recorded or released until early 2020. The first release was a cover version of the Misfits song "Some kinda hate". The main focus and philosophy with this project is to mentain the good old DIY punk rock spirit. Record, release and promote the music without busting the bank or being dependent on any other persons all the time. Just the way punk bands use to do "back in the days". Write a song, record it right away with a cheap recording equipment in the bedroom, and then upload it to various websites. Musically, Oppstøt is somewhere between The Ramones and The Misfits, with a blend and hint of old 50’s rock and roll, but you can also hear a clear Green Day inspiration. Oppstøt’s gonna get ya!
