OLD MAN JR.

About

OLD MAN JR. are a 3-piece Psych-Alt-Rock band out of Hertfordshire, UK. They are a frantic powerhouse that produces something unfiltered, striking, and undeniably energizing. Their unique brand of entertainment fuses angular guitar, fuzzy bass, thrashy drums and tight vocal harmonies that gives rise to their refreshing and commanding songs. The sound of the trio has presented itself in many forms over the years, drawing inspiration from an eclectic array of influences spanning across many musical genres. Nods to bands such as King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, QOTSA, Biffy Clyro and Thee Oh Sees, allow the band to embody a versatile fusion of noise unlike anybody else. In 2024, OLD MAN JR. started the year with a bang! Releasing their debut single ‘Hypertension’. With a newly discovered alternative sound as their bedrock, the band has been hard at work writing and performing songs from their upcoming debut album. The year ended with the trio selling out a hometown gig, as well as performing an unforgettable show supporting Mystery Jets at the end of their tour, closing out a noteworthy year of music. Early 2025 will see the line-up of buddies consisting of Ben Estherby, Joe Raymen and Matt Wells release new music in the form of singles ‘LEMON’ and ‘Dirty Penny’.
