OK-36
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia
About
OK-36 are a Brisbane 5-piece, alt rock-band with powerful vocals, hard-driven guitars and anthem-like choruses. Garry Long (Lead vocals) had a dream in high school to be in a band. When he met Ben Hyams (Bass) in 2021 the dream started to become a reality. Accompanied by newer additions, Tom Bonutto (Guitar), Jed Archibald (Guitar) and Paddy Wallis (Drums), they recently began to solidify their sound and create their own signature fusion of alt-rock and pop-punk. Influenced by bands such as Blink-182, Sum-41, Oasis and Joyce Manor, their “familiar yet contemporary” catalogue of songs, heavily draws upon nostalgic, 2000’s rock and pop-punk. With hard hitting lyrics that delve into heartbreak and relationship turmoil, their debut single, “Don’t Ask” has garnered attention from 4zzz, Crow FM 90.7 and Triple J Unearthed, along with Spotify and Apple Music Playlists. Known for their dynamic live performances and highly energetic stage presence, they have swept through South East Queensland playing venues such as Fortitude Valley's Tomcat, Banshees Bar & Art Space in Ipswich, and Helensvale Tavern, just to name a few.
