Nervous Triggers
New Brunswick, New Jersey, United States
About
Spawning from the coastal waters of the Jersey Shore, home to scenic beaches & historic shark attacks, haunted woodlands & toxic superfund sites, comes <a href="spotify:artist:7a8L2XmCilCYtYNLR0JkVI" data-name="Nervous Triggers">Nervous Triggers</a>. Comprised entirely of punk rock lifer record nerds, the band plays a mutant blend of surfy garage punk that careens across genre influences including hardcore, post-punk, and new wave, to name just a few. In their lyrics, the band addresses relevant socio-political and personal issues, balancing dark satire of the bleak state of the world with earnest appeals for progressive change. The band was founded in 2015, and after a handful of changes, the current lineup features vocalist Jay Insult, guitarist Patski (<a href="spotify:artist:6FEavjGOfqs2l5SpCckUgn" data-name="Shitfit">Shitfit</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1ESTlaKp4iX1f6IecTmYca" data-name="Teen Wolves">Teen Wolves</a>), bassist/vocalist J Nixon (<a href="spotify:artist:6IYY1Zt6PY9wGX01Z0ovio" data-name="Neon Rayon">Neon Rayon</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:0kO0w7bq2gBPvLWgz7jSTb" data-name="Hunchback">Hunchback</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6P0g92SM7UgGRKyEItA2Kx" data-name="Black Wine">Black Wine</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5CNhXR03vozEr3GcbrdU2A" data-name="Psyched To Die">Psyched To Die</a>), guitarist (and producer) Chris “Gobo” Pierce (<a href="spotify:artist:7n1mj3v7N0YM8dXUZIMCX0" data-name="Doc Hopper">Doc Hopper</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5HdFFzzKumvVRK4bAzpdwF" data-name="School Drugs">School Drugs</a>), and drummer <a href="spotify:artist:5YuPLav1vGZmaeeASQrsQK" data-name="Mikey Erg">Mikey Erg</a> (<a href="spotify:artist:5CNhXR03vozEr3GcbrdU2A" data-name="Psyched To Die">Psyched To Die</a>).
