Mother Feather
New York City, New York, United States
About
A stylish, hard-hitting American rock band from New York City, Mother Feather's fiery blend of alt-rock, glam punk, and rock & roll invokes names like Yeah Yeah Yeahs, T. Rex, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and PJ Harvey. Founded in 2009 by powerhouse vocalist Ann Courtney, who took their name from a botched expletive, the band is known for their gritty and bombastic live shows and heartfelt connection to their fanbase, affectionately dubbed "MF'ers." Having set New York City and beyond ablaze with over a decade of live wire shows, a string of independent EPs, and two LPs on Metal Blade Records, Mother Feather reclaim their independent status with their potent and ambitious third album KICK3R, definitively restating their position as one of the most exciting and unique rock & roll acts on the circuit. This is deeply-felt NYC rock & roll as it should be: towering riffs and now-or-never urgency, bolstered by pop precision and purity of mission.
